A new leak has surfaced about the return of Verdansk in Warzone, revealing which fan-favorite POIs will be making a comeback. Verdansk is finally set to return to Warzone in 2025, with many reports claiming it’ll arrive in Season 3. Ever since it was officially announced in August of last year, many leaks have emerged revealing key details, such as Resurgence coming to the map or classic Black Ops maps being worked in. However, the biggest question among the community has always been which version of the OG map is being re-released. After first dropping in March 2020, the map underwent a number of iterations with changes to its locations before it was eventually replaced by Caldera in 2021. Now, a fresh leak has seemingly confirmed which classic POIs we’ll be landing at when Verdansk finally returns. According to a report from trusted leaker ‘TheGhostOfHope,’ the Verdansk that returns in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 will be virtually the same as the launch version from March 2020, but with a couple of small changes. The most significant is that the Stadium roof will be closed as it was in the original, but the interior will be open. Way back in Season 5 of Modern Warfare (2019), the roof of the giant sports venue was blown off to allow players inside for the first time, after being closed for the first few months after the battle royale released. CharlieIntel reported that several content creators play-tested a version of the map with the Stadium closed and the interior accessible and provided feedback on how the map played. EXCLUSIVE Details on the return of Verdansk: The leaker also revealed that the train will be present on the map, which originally didn’t arrive until August 2020. However, the Train Station POI’s interior will be closed, but Ghost replied in the comments that they are “sure” it will open up in a future update. Warzone feature everyone forgot about is returning with Verdansk according to leak They added that the subway fast travel system, which was introduced in October 2020, won’t be there right away, so you’ll have to get around the map the old-fashioned way. What all of this means is that the version of Verdansk coming back to Warzone isn’t actually one that has been seen in the game before. Instead, it takes the launch layout and sprinkles in a couple of changes from future updates, but not all of them. Of course, it’s very likely that Verdansk will receive updates once it returns, so don’t be surprised to see other missing features and locations added in the future. Given the state of Warzone, many fans are unsure whether revisiting the OG map will be the success they’re hoping for. But with Season 3 expected in April, we don’t have too much longer to wait before we find out. Verdansk will “pretty much” be OG launch version
